UCJAS has a lending library of over 300 tapes and DVDs, all from the private collection of our esteemed librarian. In order to borrow from this collection, you simply have to pay a one-time yearly fee of $5.00. We have a low-tech but complete list of current VHS and DVDs. If you wish to borrow something from the library, either talk to our trusty librarian during the weekly meeting, or email her. Be nice to her, for she holds the anime.

Email requests to the librarian (Francisca) so she could have the tapes/cds/dvds at the meeting.

Please Note

If you have any anime you'd like to donate, please given it to the librarian during the weekly meetings.

Also, please note that you have to attend showings to check something out from the library. No, we will not lend to anyone who doesn't attend showings. That's how our previous collection 'vanished.'

Guidelines:

The tapes that you request will be given to you at the next meeting.
They are due back at the following meeting.
There is a $1.00 late charge per tape, CD, or DVD if it's late, and an additional $1.00 charge for tapes that are returned unrewound. Be kind, rewind!
You cannot borrow more than 3 tapes, CDs, or DVDs at a time.

A note about the digital collection:

These files range from near-DVD quality to 30 MB Real Media rips. Most of them are very high quality, but be advised that there are a few titles - particularly older ones - that are not. If you have any questions about file format, quality, or compatibility, please e-mail the librarian.
