In the mid-22nd century Jonathan "Jono" de Vaca made a name for himself as the first commercially successful interstellar pirate. "O no, Jono!" the more palindromically inclined foes of Jono would cry when they saw him approaching upon his famed tachyon space moped. Their fear arose not out of fear of physical harm -- ships were travelling so near light speed anyway that designing weaponry capable of delivering a payload from one ship to another was hopelessly impractical -- but from Jono's reputation: a beautiful soldier scout of love and justice who struck down his foes, not with torpedoes, but with eternal friendship. The details of Jono's death are shrouded in mystery, but contemporary scholar Jung-Freud reports that he was last seen tearing his shirt open in the process of saving the universe.
