Back when it was just a twinkle in CN's eye, UCJAS was one of the few to see this series at this time.

Outlaw Star

Nadesico

One of the best SF anime ever made.

KareKano

KareKano follows in the fine tradition of being an anime that UCJAS sees before anyone else. This is because the only group doing it at the time was the one Jon Sugerman belonged to. We got them because they came out of his Amiga.

Berserk

Another UCJAS premiere, we were probably the first people to see the ending outside of Japan (and the fansubbers) as the final tapes were made specifically for Henry Lee. We had to wait almost a whole quarter for it, too. That was awful.

Bad anime night was conceived this year (I think), and amoung the bad anime shown was: Wannabes, dubbed Urusei Yatsura, and the City Hunter movie.
